MSJMCW Story

Where did our onion rings come from? My mom. But before that a nice lady working in a hot, stuffy little stand carefully fried thirty bags of onion rings. She fried them in hot oil after dipping them in batter. And before that she carefully cut dozens of onions. Did her eyes cry? Or was she used to the sting. Where the onions from from a private farmer or a large supermarket chain? Someone unloaded tons of onions out of the truck onto the market shelves. Preceding that, an individual drove the gas guzzling truck from who knows where. Did the same person who loaded the onions also pick them? How long do to onions take to grow? A machine or a person planted the seeds in the blistering heat of the early summer. I sold the small bag of rings for three dollars, but how much was it worth to the earth?
